Georgetown:
Margaret Josephine Sayeg Chiha, 78, died Sunday, July 2, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Chiha was born in Charleston on November 4 1927, a daughter of the late Joseph Sayeg and Yasda Oquit Sayeg. She was a graduate of Bishop England High School in Charleston and attended Dunbarton College of the Holy Cross in Washington, D.C. She was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church.
Mrs. Chiha was predeceased by: two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Isabel Sayeg, and Walter and Delores Sayeg; a sister, Nellie Dieppe; and two brothers-in-law, Albert Khouri and Dr. David Thomas Joseph, Sr.
Surviving are: her husband of 59 and a half years, George Joseph Chiha of Georgetown; a daughter, Sharon Joseph and her husband Tom of Camden; two sons, George Chiha and his wife Helen Amann and Ed Chiha and his wife Sarah Amann, all of Georgetown; two sisters, Mary Khouri of Fla. and Rose Mary Joseph of Camden; eight grandchildren, Thomas Joseph and his wife Kristen of Camden, Lori Butehorn and her husband Fritz of Spartanburg, Edward Chiha, George Chiha, Jr., and Wesley Chiha, all of N.J., Kennith Chiha and David Chiha both of Chicago, Ill., and Cristin Chiha of Arizona; and five great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be eleven o'clock, Thursday morning, July 6, 2006, at St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald J. Farrell. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Annex.

The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Wednesday evening, July 5, 2006, from six until nine with a Vigil service at seven o'clock.
