Margaret Anne Blake Skinner, 88, died Monday, January 5, 2004, at Carrollwood Care Center in Carrollwood, Fla.
Mrs. Skinner was born on March 4, 1915 in Georgetown, a daughter of the late William Benjamin Blake and Annie Elizabeth Porter Blake. She grew up in the Sampit Community and attended Andrews High School. Mrs. Skinner lived most of her life in Georgetown and moved to Tampa, Fla. in 1995. She was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Skinner was the widow of John LeRoy Skinner.
Surviving are: a daughter, Bobbie Skinner Hewitt of Tampa, Fla.; two grandsons, James W. Skinner, IV of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Terry G. Skinner of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Alberta B. Anderson of Georgetown; a brother, Benjamin F. Blake of Georgetown; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at two o'clock Friday afternoon, January 9, 2004, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Phillip Carlisle Thrailkill. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 8, 2004, from six until eight o'clock at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
