Georgetown: Margarette Skinner Smith, 83, died Thursday, December 16, 2004, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born in Georgetown on December 1, 1921, a daughter of the late George Thomas Skinner and Rhetta Phelps Skinner. She lived all her life in Georgetown Co. and was a graduate of Winyah High School and Lander College. Mrs. Smith was a member of All Saints Church, Waccamaw. Surviving are: her husband of sixty years, Arthur T. Smith of Georgetown; two daughters, Marjorie T. Smith of Georgetown and Margarette Smith Kolczak and her husband Theodore of Roswell, Ga.; a son Thomas S. Smith and his wife Wendy of Raleigh, N. C.; and four grandchildren; Michael A. Kolczak of Smyrna, Ga., Karen Smith and Matthew A. Smith, both of Raleigh, N. C., and Jessica Smith of Charlotte, N. C. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Saturday morning, December 18, 2004, at the graveside in Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Churchyard. Officiating will be the Rev. David C. Bryan.
