Margery M. Taylor, 92, of Andrews, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at The
Landings of Georgetown with family by her side.
Margery attended Williamsburg High School. She was the oldest member of Andrews First Pentecostal
Church in Andrews, SC. Margery enjoyed helping with her church and volunteered for many functions.
She worked for Ruffins Department store for a number of years.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Taylor (Gayle), daughter, Barbara McCants (Ron) and daughter-in-law
Cindy Taylor; seven grandchildren, Stephanie McConnell (Kirk), Ryan Taylor (Alisa), Ashly Shaver (Chris),
Bradley Taylor, Kyle Taylor (Morgan), Crystal Morris and Treva Fulton (John); twenty great-
grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Taylor was pre-deceased by her husband, William Monroe Taylor, a son, Jeffrey O'Neil Taylor;
parents, Willie D. McCutchen and Mettie L. Barrineau; four brothers, Jessie Hugh McCutchen, Thomas
McCutchen, Joe Omeca McCutchen and Willie D. McCutchen, Jr.; three sisters, Nettie McCutchen
McCrea, Vermel McCutchen Casselman Bruce, and Maude Burrows Goins.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Andrews First
Pentecostal Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Andrews
Memorial Cemetery.
The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
