Pawleys Island:
Marilyn Jean Moser Swift, 78 of Litchfield, died Friday, May 1, 2009, at Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Nora Moser.
Mrs. Swift was a graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute and was later employed as a fashion illustrator for the Strauss Hirshberg department store in Youngstown, Ohio.
She is survived by: her loving husband, J. Stewart Swift; daughter, Jennifer Swift Benavides and her husband John of Round Rock, Texas; sons, Andrew Swift of Burke, Va. and Jonathan Swift of Richmond Va.; and grandsons, Justin and Jordan Benavides.
A talented artist, Mrs. Swift painted the portraits of many family members and friends. She was also and avid card player, enjoyed bird-watching, and beach-combing. She enjoyed the company of family and friends and her great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen H. Wilkins and the Rev. Dr. William H. Puckett, Jr.
