Obituary

Georgetown: Marjorie Blasky Watts, 93, widow of Henry Ernest Watts, died July 28, 2015, at Prince George Healthcare Center in Georgetown. A daughter of the late Rudolph George Blasky and Jennie Lapham Smoak Blasky, Mrs. Watts was born in Georgetown on March 17, 1922. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Surviving Mrs. Watts are her three daughters, Penny Watts Mercer (John T.) of Georgetown, Patrice Watts McClellan (John) of Honey Hill, and June Watts Perry (Michael) of Conway. She is also survived by a brother, George S. Blasky of Newport News, Virginia, and four grandchildren, Shannon C. Edwards, Erin E. Ethridge, Isaac H. Chestnut, and Adam J. Chestnut. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Watts was predeceased by a sister, Thedra B. Doniphan. Funeral services will be four o'clock Thursday afternoon, July 30, 2015, at the graveside at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ted A. Sherrill officiating.
