Andrews: Mark Dale Tanner, 64, passed away Tuesday morning February 22, 2022, at his residence. Mark was born in Georgetown on December 31, 1957, a son of the late Wade Erskine Tanner and Elfriede "Ellen" Illg Tanner. Mark grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School. Throughout his high school years, he excelled in various athletic activities. Mark was an outstanding golfer, football and basketball player. He received numerous awards and recognitions. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a double major in Business and Marketing. Mark was known for being a loveable, kind and caring person. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, eating out, spending time with family and friends. Mark had a strong faith and often shared it with others. He loved his church family. Mark is predeceased by: his parents. Surviving are: his brother, Sig Tanner (Patsy) of Columbia; a sister, Susan Beard Tanner of Andrews; two nieces, Shannon Bozard (Jay) and Ashley Foster (Greg) of Columbia; and a nephew, Wade Beard of Atlanta, GA Please sign a guestbook at: www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
