Georgetown:
Mary Nell "Nellie" Barrineau Bone, 81, widow of Hubert Albert Bone, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Bone was born in the Wayside Community of Williamsburg County on May 23, 1938, a daughter of the late John David Barrineau and Leola Barrineau. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and received a nursing degree from a college in Tennessee. Mrs. Bone was a member of the Sampit United Methodist Church. Her career was in nursing having worked for Georgetown Hospital and also did private nursing. She was also employed by Defender Services as contract manager until retiring. Mrs. Bone was known to be very strong spirited and had a great work ethic. Mrs. Nellie was Mom to everyone who knew her and made sure if you visited you couldn't leave until she prepared something for you to eat. She was a very compassionate person and was the Matriarch and Rock of the family. Mrs. Nellie will surely be missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bone was predeceased by: a son, Mark Bone and a brother, Allen Barrineau.
Surviving are: five sons; Danny Bone, Walker Bone (Shug), Chris Bone (Melodie), Hubert Bone (Kay) and Mark Johnson (Vicky); two daughters, Simone B. Lathan (Gerald) and Janet Bone (Ted) all of the Georgetown Area; grandchildren are: Kim Stafford (Joshua), Wendy Marlowe (James), Crystal Bone, Amber Bone, Kayla Bone, Tara Williams (B.J), Mark Bone (Alexis), Skyler Bone, C.J. Bone, John David Bone, Emily Bone, Courtney Roberts; and Kelda Thomas; Great-grandchildren, Hagen Williams, Gage Williams, Cameron Williams Brianna Summers, A.J. Summers, Ean Thomas, Colden Thomas, Baxley Roberts, Mason Roberts and Celease Williams. Special best friends forever, Lucille Bone and Mary Swails. We can't forget her longtime companion "Pepper".
The family would like to express a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers, Amy Vause and Ruthie Green of Hospice of SC.
Graveside Services will be eleven o'clock Friday, May 1, 2020, in the Sampit United Methodist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Mary Green.
The family will receive friends following the service. Due to the COVID-19 PANDEMIC we request you use social distancing during the service and refrain from direct contact.
