Mary Frances King Fawcett was born April 7, 1922. At the age of 103, she passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, in Bishop Gadsden in Charleston. Born in Lake City, she was the daughter of the late George and Lily (Kennedy) King.

Frances is survived by her son, Larry (Janis) Harvey of Georgetown; a granddaughter, Ellie (Tom) Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Perry and Whit.

She was widowed by four husbands, William V. Harvey, Albin T. Clark, James A. Morris and John R. Fawcett. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

She lived in Columbia, SC for 70 years and was an active member of Trinity Cathedral. For the past 11 year, she has been a resident of Bishop Gadsden in Charleston, SC.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Lake City Cemetery.

Officiating will be The Very Rev. Gary N Beson, II, Rector of Prince George Winyah Parish Church.
