Andrews:
Mary Haque Gibson, 79, died Sunday, December 20, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Flushing, Mich. on March 26, 1936, a daughter of the late Robert Francis Haque and Alice Mary Schwartz Haque. She grew up in Flushing and graduated from the University of Michigan. Mrs. Gibson earned a Master's Degree from Francis Marion University in Florence. She taught school at Sampit Elementary School from 1982 until her retirement in 2000. Mrs. Gibson was an active member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church for twenty years. She was a volunteer at Helping Hands and after retirement also taught GED classes at a local prison
Surviving are: two sons, Steve Lawrence (Melelani) of Kaneohe, Hawaii and Erik Lawrence (Lisa Simmons) of Andrews; a daughter, Carrie Reeder (Michael) of Saginaw, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be three o'clock Thursday afternoon, January 14, 2016, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. John M. Williams, Jr.
