Andrews:
Mary Etta Bratcher Lambert, 96, widow of the late Solon Walter Lambert, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at her residence in Lambert Town of Georgetown County.
Mrs. Lambert was born in the Suttons Community of Williamsburg County on December 31, 1920, daughter of the late Alexander Washington Bratcher and Esther Jane Ward Bratcher.
Mrs. Lambert grew up in Williamsburg County and attended public school. She was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church since 1944. Mrs. Lambert was a long time Sunday school teacher and one of the founders of the Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for Oneita Knitting Mills and Georgetown Dress Plant for a number of years. Mrs. Lambert was owner and operator of Lambert's Grocery. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Surviving are: five sons, Roger Lambert (Karen) of Summerville; Solon "Pee Wee" Lambert (Amelia) of Georgetown; Robert Lambert (Darlene Lee), Walter Lambert, and Deon Lambert (Robbin) all of Andrews; four daughters, Lynn L. Thomas (Kenneth) and Patricia L. Elliott (Harris), both of Andrews, Annette L. Brandon (Chris) of Georgetown, and Lisa L. Wrenn (Will) of Bonneau; and a brother, Daniel Alexander Bratcher of Andrews; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and an honorary daughter, Kay Brandon of Georgetown.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lambert is predeceased by: an infant son; two sisters, Carolyn Bratcher Propst and Sarah Estelle Bratcher Terry; three brothers, Edward Lee Bratcher, John Henry Bratcher and Luther E. Bratcher.
Funeral Services will be at two o'clock Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Chris Browder and the Rev. Harris Jordon. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 20, 2017, at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church from six until eight o'clock.
