Andrews:
Mary Sue Burroughs Skipper, 77, widow of William Leslie Skipper, Jr., died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown.
Mrs. Skipper was born in Andrews on September 28, 1935, a daughter of the late William Rogers Burroughs and Maggie Ola Hughes Burroughs. She lived all of her life in the Andrews area and was a graduate of Andrews High School. Mrs. Skipper was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are: two daughters, Debbie Heinzmann of Murrells Inlet and Cheryl S. Reardon (Steve) of Salters; a son, William L. "Billy" Skipper, III (Teresa) of Andrews; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Casselman of Andrews; a special friend, Ann C. Tindall of Pawleys Island; and her fiancé, Raymond Thompson of Andrews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Skipper was predeceased by: two sons, Michael L. Skipper and Russell M. Skipper; and a brother, John W. "Buddy" Burroughs.
Funeral services will be at two o'clock on Friday afternoon, December 7, 2012, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Murray Powell. Burial will follow at Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from one until two o'clock.
