Andrews:
Mary Faye Newton Turner, 66, widow of John Walter Turner, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Turner was born in Andrews on August 30, 1947, a daughter of Glennie Marvin Newton and Mary Magelean Greene Newton. She lived all her life in the Andrews area and was a retired employee of Oneita Industries. Mrs. Turner was a member of Williamsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Turner was predeceased by: a son, John Newton, a step-son, Jerry Turner and a sister, Frances Marlowe.
Surviving are: a son, William Foxworth of Andrews; a daughter, Mary N. Taylor (Ricky) of Andrews; a step-son, Ricky Turner (Dorothy) of Andrews; step-daughters, Becky Foxworth of Myrtle Beach, Debbie Foxworth (Greg) of Marion and Louise Cooper of Johnsonville; a step-daughter-in-law, Tammy Turner of Andrews; four brothers, Elvis Newton of Virginia, Junior Newton of Georgetown, and Lamont Newton and David Earl Newton, both of Andrews; two sisters, Betty Ann Powell of Andrews and Shirley Spencer of Michigan; twenty-three grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon, October 5, 2013, at two o'clock at the graveside in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. J. W. Casselman and Rev. Timmy Goodwin.
