Georgetown: Mary Lou Tisdale Ward, 77, widow of Troy Ward, died Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Lake City Community Hospital. Mrs. Ward was born August 13, 1941, a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Tisdale and Laurel "Lulu" Browder Tisdale. She grew up in Georgetown County and was a member of Grace Temple Revival Church. Mrs. Ward loved gardening, fishing, shopping thrift stores and anything outdoors. She was a kind and giving person with a huge heart. Surviving are: two sons, Jason Ward (Melinda York) of Myrtle Beach; and Troy Ward, Jr. of Conway; one daughter, Cindy Francine Ward (Jerry Avant) of Loris; five grandchildren, Cory Avant (Charlene), Nita Lee Avant (Alex Martinez), Alec Jason Ward ( Aidan), Tyler Ward and Riley Ellis Ward; four great-grandchildren, Rosalyn, Jolene, Nita Lee, Jr. and Cadence; a brother, John Carter; three sisters, Faye Boone, Betty Williamson and Geneva Howard; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be eleven o'clock Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Grace Temple Revival Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Jack Todd. Burial will follow in Oak Grove United Methodist Cemetery.
