Michael Wayne Rowe, 65, of Pawleys Island, SC, passed away on August 1, 2024, at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach.

Born October 5, 1958, in Georgetown, SC, he was the son of Andrew Donald Rowe and Bobbie Owens Rowe Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Andrew Donald Rowe, Jr.

Michael graduated from Winyah High School in 1976. After graduating, he became a Commercial Shrimper. He went on to work for Stone Container in Jacksonville, Fl. Later, he settled back in Georgetown as a Chemical Operator for 3V Chemical. He had a love for drag racing and spent his time watching the races at the drag strip.

Michael is survived by his brother, Mark Owen Rowe of Conway, SC.

Michael's family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and caregivers of Embrace Hospice House and Angelic Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Todd officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society .
