Miriam Mercer Fore, 91, formerly of Georgetown, residing at 108 Railroad Street, Wilson's Mill, N. C., died Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born April 16, 1912, in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Benjamin Ira and Maggie Porter Mercer. She was the widow of Basil E. Fore. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2004, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with the Reverends Bruce Adams and Greg Kraus officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law; Jean and Jim McDaniel of Sacramento, Calif., Joann and Sherwood Miller of Georgetown, and Sarah and Ron Foxworth of Wilson's Mill, N. C.; a sister, Louise M. Emerson of Merritt Island, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
