Charleston: Monca Thigpen Cribb, 66, died Saturday, June 25, at the Medical University of S. C. Hospital. Mrs. Cribb was born in Marietta, Ga. on November 19, 1944, a daughter of the late Marvin Monroe Thigpen and Ruby Mae Hardee Thigpen. She was a graduate of Andrews High School and Emanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga. Mrs. Cribb was formerly employed by accounting firms in Georgetown. She was a member of Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are: a son, Brian Cribb (Kylie) of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Valerie Sullivan (Chad) of Charleston; a sister, Patricia T. Fenters of Hemingway; a brother, M. Wayne Thigpen of Murrells Inlet; four grandchildren; Katelyn Cribb, Presley Cribb, Chance Sullivan and Peyton Sullivan. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning, June 29, 2011, at eleven o'clock at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Don Fenters, Jr. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening, June 28, 2011, from six until eight o'clock.
