Myrtle Eleanor "Earlene" Lee Redick, 87, died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital
Mrs. Redick was born in the Coward section of Florence County on June 30, 1920, a daughter of the late John Wesley Lee and Leslie Anderson Lee of Florence. She was the widow of Robert Edward Redick who died in 1994.
She retired from Rose's Department Store and also worked for a long time at Georgetown Dress Plant. Mrs. Redick was a member of the Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as the Church Treasurer for many years.
Mrs. Redick was also predeceased by two brothers, A. J. Lee and Lemontte Lee; one sister, Gladys Lee Martin; a son, Robert Jr. Redick; a daughter, Diane Redick Cox; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandchild.
Surviving are: four sons, Jack Redick, James Redick, Francis Redick, and David Redick, all of Georgetown. She was also the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren, Debra Harper, Ricky Redick, Loretta Redick, Rae Lee, Jimmy Redick, Wesley Redick, Lori Redick, Christy Redick, Stevie Hewitt, Renee Howard, and Ron Cox; thirteen great-grandchildren; and ten great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning, July 11, 2007, at eleven o'clock at Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Aldon Johnson, the Rev. Henry Duncan, Jr., and the Rev. James Petty. Burial will follow in Sampit United Methodist Church Cemetery.
