Nancy Williams Hudson, age 77, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026.
Nancy was born on October 13, 1948, in Graceville, Florida, to Norma Hinson Williams and George Clinton Williams, both of whom preceded Nancy in death. Nancy was also preceded in death by a brother, Wallace Williams of Panama City, Florida.
Nancy devoted much of her life to caring for others. A registered nurse for 24 years, Nancy served the community with compassion and dedication, including 19 years as the school nurse at Sampit Elementary School. Nancy touched the lives of countless children, families, and coworkers before retiring.
Nancy was a faithful member of Lakewood Baptist Church for many years and valued the fellowship and faith community deeply.
Above all, Nancy cherished family. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. Few things brought more joy than time spent with grandchildren, proudly embracing the role of Nana and creating lasting memories filled with love. Nancy also had a fond love of shopping, which brought happiness and many shared moments with family.
Nancy is survived by a loving husband, Jerry William Hudson; a son, Jerry William “Will” Hudson II of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and daughters, Rebecca Hudson Midgett (Matthew) of Wasilla, Alaska, and Martie Gail McCallum (Mac) of Lugoff, South Carolina.
Nancy was a proud Nana to granddaughters Nicole Ashton Midgett, Samantha June Midgett, and Paige Elizabeth Midgett, all of Wasilla, Alaska, who were a constant source of joy and pride.
Nancy is also survived by a sister, Martha Gail Williams (Joe Moore) of Destin, Florida, and a brother, Gary Williams (Debbie) of Bellaire, Texas.
A service and burial in Panama City, Florida, will be held this summer, with details to be announced at a later date.
Nancy will be remembered for warmth, dedication to others, and deep love for family. Nancy’s presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The Maryville Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
