Beaufort: Nellie Joseph Dorion, 91, former resident of Georgetown and widow of Lawrence Cecil Dorion, died Sunday, September 14, 2008, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Dorion was born in Richmond, Va. on June 8, 1917, a daughter of John Joseph and Selma Azouri Joseph. She was a retired in 1980 from International Paper Co. Mrs. Dorion was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in Georgetown and the Catholic Women's Club. Surviving are: a daughter, Selma Dorion Lovett of Beaufort; two grandchildren, Olivia Louise Lovett and George Henry Lovett, both of Beaufort; a sister-in-law, Louise Joseph of Georgetown; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be twelve noon Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in Georgetown. Inurnment will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown. There will be a wake service at five-thirty Tuesday afternoon, September 16, 2008 at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home followed by visitation until seven-thirty.
