Georgetown:
Nina Reardon Evans, 83, died Monday, August 27, 2007, at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mrs. Evans was born in Greenwood on November 7, 1923, a daughter of the late Ben Wells Reardon and Lillian Mae Witt Reardon. She grew up in Georgetown and was a graduate of Winyah High School. Mrs. Evans was the former manager of The Little Red Barn and retired from Lilly Pulitzer Dress Shop in Pawleys Island. She was the widow of Warren Dibble Evans.
Mrs. Evans was predeceased by: a brother, Ray Reardon; and two sisters, Mary Alice Cox and Mabel Gardner.
Surviving are: a son, Warren D. Evans, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Nancy Evans Fear of Plantation, Fla.; five grandchildren, Greg Douglas of Georgetown, Amy Turbeville of Florence, Nancy Ellen Herian of Charlotte, N.C., Hunter Evans and Wendy Butler, both of Columbia; and five great-grandchildren, Evan and Kamran Turbeville of Florence, Savannah Douglas of Georgetown, and Matthew and Madeline Herian, both of Charlotte, N.C.
Memorial services will be two o'clock, Thursday afternoon, August 30, 2007, at the graveside in Sumter Cemetery in Sumter. Officiating will be the Rev. Dickie Evans.
