Georgetown:
Nina Mills Morris, 72, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mrs. Morris was born in Conway on September 18, 1939, a daughter of the late Percy Edward Mills, Sr. and Thelma Grace Lewis Mills. She was a 1957 graduate of Winyah High School and lived all her life in Georgetown. Mrs. Morris retired as a teacher's aide at Georgetown High School. She was a volunteer for the Swamp Fox Players and Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Morris was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was the organist for 50 years.
Surviving are: her husband of 54 years, Ted W. Morris of Georgetown; two daughters, Sara M. Jordan of Andrews and Grace M. Cordial of Beaufort; six grandchildren, Aimee Jordan of Andrews, Staci D. Jordan of Tampa, Fla., Maura E. Cordial of Sydney, Australia, ENS Brendan E. Cordial, USN, of Norfolk, Va., S. Kate Cordial of Boston, Mass., and Ciaran Cordial of Beaufort; a great-grandchild, Mary Grace Cordial of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Inez M. McElveen and Martha M. Bell, both of Georgetown; and a brother, P. Edward Mills, Jr. of Pawleys Island.
Funeral services will be at three o'clock on Thursday afternoon, May 10, 2012, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Officiating will be the Pastor Arden Hallman and Pastor Brad Bellah. Burial will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, May 9, 2012, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church from six until eight o'clock.
