Georgetown:
Nora Morgan Kaminski, 90, died Friday, September 14, 2007, at NHC Healthcare Parklane in Columbia.
Mrs. Kaminski was born in Pelzer on January 3, 1917, a daughter of the late John Morgan and Martha "Mattie" Clark Morgan. She was a graduate of Winthrop College. Mrs. Kaminski taught for a number of years at Pleasant Hill High School and Winyah High School and later was a substitute teacher. She also was employed at Carolina Hardware for a time. Mrs. Kaminski was the widow of Nathan Kaminski, who died in 1981.
Mrs. Kaminski was a member of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. She served on the Altar Guild and was a former chairperson of the church Plantation Tours. Mrs. Kaminski was a member of the St. Anne Chapter of the Episcopal Church Women. She was a former member of the board of York Place, the Episcopal Church Home For Children.
Mrs. Kaminski was active in the community of Georgetown. She was a former member of the Georgetown County Mental Health Board and also of Winyah Academy. Mrs. Kaminski was a member of the Georgetown Garden Club and a number of bridge clubs.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock, Monday morning, September 17, 2007, at Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Paul C. Fuener Burial will follow in the churchyard.
Survivors include: a son, Nathan (Marcia) Kaminski, Jr. of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Lisa K. (Patrick J.) Whelchel and Nathan Richard (Susannah M.) Kaminski, both of Atlanta, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, "Jack" P. Whelchel, Charlotte A. Whelchel, Rebecca C. Kaminski, and Nathan Kaminski III, all of Atlanta; nephews, Patrick Morgan of Ware Shoals, Dr. Hiram "Bud" Morgan of California, and Rev. Raymond Gotko of Fort Valley, Ga.; niece, Mariam Dampier of Warner Robins, Ga.; and cousin Michael B. (Virginia) Prevost of McClellanville.

The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Sunday evening, September 16, 2007, from four until six.
