Largo, Fla.: Norman Harvey Parsons, 79, died July 24, 2008 at home. Mr. Parsons was born in Georgetown and moved to Largo in 1960 from Aiken. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Parsons was a manager at General Electric for 35 years. Survivors include: his wife of 30 years, Linda Dawson Parsons; three children, N. David Parsons, Hickory, N.C., Joan P. Ray, Birmingham, Ala. and Phillip M. Parsons, Mechanicsville, Md.; sisters, Miriam Thomas, Murrells Inlet and Evelyn Weaver, Ocala, Fla.; brothers Ivan Parsons, Georgetown, and William Parsons, Barnwell; fifteen grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
