Georgetown: Novelene Powell Cribb, 91, wife of Stephen Bobby Cribb, died Monday, May 14, 2018, at her residence. Mrs. Cribb was born June 27, 1926, in Georgetown County; the daughter of the late John Wesley Powell and Anna Avant Powell. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Georgetown and the Ruth Sunday School Class. Mrs. Cribb was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by: a sister; Iva "Cappy" Dawson; and a brother, Bert H. Powell. Surviving are: her husband of sixty-five years, Stephen Bobby Cribb of Georgetown; two daughters, Regina Cribb Mobley (Kurt) of Evans, GA; and Janet Cribb (Paul Maciag) of Chiefland, FL.; two grandchildren, Michelle Mobley Key (Alan), and Stephen Mobley, both of Evans GA.; two great-grandchildren; Kaylee Varney and Sydney Key; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be two o'clock, Friday, May 18, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ted Sherrill. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Annex. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church parlor from one until two o'clock PM.
