Andrews:
Noveline Ackerman Davis Cloaninger, 93, widow of James Manning Cloaninger and Blen Joe Davis, died Thursday, January 30, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Cloaninger was born in Andrews, a daughter of the late William Hinson Ackerman and Frances Mae Cox Ackerman. She grew up in the Earle community of Williamsburg Co. and graduated from Williamsburg High School. Mrs. Cloaninger received her associate's degree in cosmetology, and owned and operated her own beauty shop for over 60 years. The last of nine brothers and sisters, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Cloaninger was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in Eastover.
Surviving are: a daughter, Joan Davis McDaniel (Landrum) of Johnsonville; a granddaughter, Kateland McDaniel of Johnsonville; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Jay Ackerman of Columbia, who was like a son to Mrs. Cloaninger.
Funeral services will be held at two-thirty on Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2014, at Earle United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Bob Huggins and the Rev. Gray Adams. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday at the church from one until two o'clock.
