Obituary for Thurman Sessions "T. S." Calhoun, Jr.

Mt. Pleasant:
Thurman Sessions “T.S.” Calhoun, Jr., 81. widower of Pamela Diane Korb Calhoun died Monday, December 18, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Calhoun was born in Conway on November 23, 1936, a son of the late Thurman Sessions Calhoun, Sr. and Myrtle Hughes Calhoun. He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mr. Calhoun was a SC Highway Patrolman until joining and retiring from the SC State Law Enforcement Division SLED. He loved his grands and great-grands which brought much joy to his life
In addition to his parents, Mr. Calhoun is predeceased by: two daughters, Rhonda and Tammy Calhoun; a brother, John Calhoun and a sister, Rebecca Calhoun Braatz.
Survivors are: a son, Rev. T. S. “Buddy” Calhoun, III (Diane) of Moncks Corner; a daughter, Allison Dennis (Luke) of Moncks Corner; a sister, Shirley C. Cauthen of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Jared Calhoun (Sarah), Sarah Kirby (Richard), Luke Dennis, Jr. and Kathryn Dennis; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning, December 23, 2107, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from ten until eleven o’clock. Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to: Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464.
