Pawleys Island; Patience Bullard Thompson, 84, widow of Andrew Wadies Thompson, Sr., died Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet. Mrs. Thompson was born in Loris on June 27, 1932, a daughter of the late John Bullard and Vennie Pender Bullard. She was a graduate of Winyah High School in Georgetown and lived in Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet most of her life. Mrs. Thompson held a realtor's license for many years and was a member of Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Thompson was predeceased by a son, Andrew Wadies Thompson, Jr. Surviving are: a daughter, Martha J. Thompson (Tim) of Pawleys Island; a grandson, Andrew Clay Thompson, Sr. (Brittany) of Pawleys Island; and a great-grandson, Andrew Clay Thompson, Jr. of Pawleys Island. Services will be private.
