Obituary

Georgetown: Patricia McDaniel Cox, 71, died Monday, November 22, 2004, at Winyah Convalescent Center. Mrs. Cox was born in Ft. Worth, Tex. on December 17, 1932, a daughter of the late Joseph Reese McDaniel and Virginia Holt McDaniel. She was a graduate of Winyah High School. Mrs. Cox as a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and served her church as a Sunday School Teacher and Choir member. She was also a member of the Women of the ELCA. Mrs. Cox was a former member of the Swamp Fox Players and a former Cub Scout Leader. She was the widow of Clyde Layton Cox. Surviving are: two sons, Clyde Reese Cox and Kevin Ritchie Cox, both of Georgetown; a brother, Joseph McDaniel of Georgetown; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Friday morning, November 26, 2004, in Trinity Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Carl Ritchie. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Wednesday evening, November 24, 2004, from six until eight. Sign a guest book at www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
