Pawley's Island: Patricia Bodie Rasheed, 73, died Saturday, December 18, 2004, at Conway Medical Center in Conway. Mrs. Rasheed was born in Newberry on March 10, 1931, a daughter of the late Horace F. Bodie and Andrella Sherbert Bodie. She grew up in Newberry, graduated from Newberry High School and the University of South Carolina, and attended the University of Tennessee. She was a former legal secretary for several law firms including the firms of Claymon C. Grimes, Jr. and James B. Moore. Mrs. Rasheed was a member of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. Surviving are: her husband, Edward Rasheed of Pawley's Island; a daughter, Anne Rasheed of Boone, N. C.; two sons, Larry Rasheed and his wife Michelle of Staunton, Va. and Jim Rasheed of Randolph, Mass.; four brothers, Horace F. Bodie, Jr. of Garden City Beach, Robert E. Bodie of Lexington, Richard K. Bodie of Chapin, and John C. Bodie of Newberry; a sister-in-law, Lucy Rasheed of Pawley's Island; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Rasheed was predeceased by a brother, Theodore R. Bodie. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, December 21, 2004, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
