Murrells Inlet: Patricia Brooks Roberts, 66, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown. Mrs. Roberts was born in Seattle, Wash. on December 18, 1946, a daughter of the late John Edward Brooks and Lucille Griesser Brooks. She was educated in Switzerland and worked as a model and a Fashion Director in New York City. Mrs. Roberts also worked in the insurance industry in New York City and Chicago. Since retirement, she has lived in Murrells Inlet and St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Surviving are: her beloved husband of 29 years, John Sherrill Roberts; two daughters, Tara Scully (Dan) of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and Erin Zurbuchen (Thomas) of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a son, John Roberts (Vicki) of Aurora, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Danny and Maurina Scully, Lucas and Maria Zurbuchen, Jack, Brady, and Lyla Roberts; and two sisters, Lorelei Robbins and Catherine Robbins.
