Pauline Radford Marsh, 74, widow of Clinton Marsh, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her home. She was born in Marlboro County, a daughter of the late Luther and Pauline (Vause) Smothers.

Pauline was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church. She took pride in her job at Family Dollar of 17 years. She loved and adored her grands and great-grands, spending time with her family and friends, and watching In the Heat of the Night. Pauline always spoke her mind and per her children thought she was right about everything. She was a great mama and friend.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy Ronald Cox of Andrews; three daughters, Janice Paullean Cox of Lake View, Mary Katherine (William Darin) Tisdale of Andrews, and Amy Jo (Ronald) Langston of Hemingway; one brother, Johnny Smothers of Donalds, SC; two sisters, Rosa Lee Parsons of Hemingway and Patty Faye Casselman of Andrews; grandchildren Ashley (Chris), Kristin (Shane), Margo (Lance), Heather (Mikey), Holden (Brittany), Tiffany (Daniel), Brandon (Rachel), Jim (Brittany), J.R. (Brandy), Dylan (Kayla), and Aidan; 27 great-grandchildren; and her loving caregiver, Joy Casselman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Clinton; one brother, Alton Smothers; her daughter-in-law, Betsy Cox; and her grandmother, Rosa Scott.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2023 in New Hope Church in Andrews, with Pastor Jack Todd and Pastor Allen Ard  officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Hemingway. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service in the church.
