Peter Gardner DiVenere, DMD, 53, of Pawley's Island, South Carolina, departed this life on March 2nd, 2024. He entered this world on February 27th, 1971, and throughout his life was esteemed for his magnanimity, his love of cooking, hunting and fishing, and his devotion to the sport of volleyball, in which he achieved the honor of being inducted into the Myrtle Beach Hall of Fame. He had a giving spirit and made the most of each day.
He leaves behind a legacy as a devoted father to his children, Ane Gardner DiVenere and Peter Bowman DiVenere. Mourning his loss are also his mother, Ane DiVenere, and his brother, Adam DiVenere. He is reunited in death with his father, the late Peter Louis Mark DiVenere.
A proud alumnus of the College of Charleston, Dr. DiVenere furthered his professional education at The James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, crafting a career in dentistry that was marked by diligence and compassion.
A graveside service commemorating his life will be held on March 8th, 2024 at 2:30 pm at All Saints Church in Pawley's Island, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hollings Cancer Center's Lowvelo fundraiser. Lowvelo is a fundraiser for cancer research and all proceeds donated will go towards cancer research in South Carolina. A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
