Obituary

Greenville: Queenie Ann Wallace Gibson, 87, widow of Cecil Gibson, died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Hawthorne Inn at Greenville. Mrs. Gibson was born in Georgetown Co. on June 30, 1927, a daughter of the late Willie Vault Wallace and Annie Maybel Roberts Wallace. She grew up in Georgetown and attended Winyah High School. Mrs. Gibson was a member of United Christian Outreach Ministry and a former Charter Member of the Church of the Nazarene. She loved sewing, crocheting, and gardening. Surviving are: a daughter, Margaret A. Moore (Ray) of Greenville; three sons, Leland Gibson (Joyce) of Barstow, Calif., Billy Gibson (Deon) of Pawleys Island, and Timmy Gibson of Conway; seven grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be two-thirty o'clock Tuesday afternoon, January 6, 2015 at United Christian Outreach on Gilbert St. in Georgetown. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Crabtree. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery on Kent Road near Andrews. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday at the church from one-thirty until two-thirty.
