Ralph John Hansen, Junior, 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA.

He was born December 27, 1946, in Conway, SC, son of the late Ruth Alford Hansen and Ralph John Hansen, Senior. He was married on May 11, 1968, to Linda Chandler Hansen and they shared 56 years of marriage.

He served his country with honor and retired as Chief Warrant Officer 4 after 30 years of exemplary service in the United States Coast Guard - Aviation. During his service, Ralph was awarded the Department of Transportation Gold Medal Ribbon, The Bicentennial Unit Commendation, The Coast Guard Unit Commendation, The Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation, The Commandant's Letter of Commendation, The Humanitarian Service Medal, and The Coast Guard Special Operations Medal.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Linda and children; Roslyn (Scott) Woehrman of Richmond Hill, GA, Christine (Jason) Lefevre of Decatur, GA, and Ralph John Hansen III, of Richmond Hill, GA; sister, Teresa (T. D.) Powell of Santee, SC; and grandchildren; Madeline Woehrman and Chase Lefevre.

Graveside services will be Friday October 25, at 11:00 am in Elmwood Cemetery in Georgetown, SC. Private interment will follow under the direction of the Downtown Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home.
