Georgetown:
Raymond Lucky Williamson, 76, husband of Eleanor "Cookie" Murray Williamson, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
Mr. Williamson was born in Horry County on July 1, 1941, a son of the late Johnnie Daniel Williamson and Maude Cox Williamson. He graduated Winyah High School class of 1961. Mr. Williamson worked for International Paper Company for forty-one years until retirement. He was a member of Messiah Baptist Church and an ordained deacon. Mr. Williamson was a coach for the Georgetown Recreation League Midgets and also coached Women and Girls softball.
Mr. Williamson is survived by: his wife of Georgetown, two daughters, Angela Mills (Billy) of Summerville and Doris Smith (Donnie) of Georgetown, four grandchildren, Raymond "R. D." Prince (Taylor Davis), Caroline Prince, and Alex Smith all of Georgetown; and William Mills, III of Summerville; one great-grandchild, Hartley Davis, a brother, John Otis Williamson (Carol) of Florence.
Memorial Services will be at eleven o'clock Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Messiah Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ricky West. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
