Murrells Inlet: Reba H. Ard, 87, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Ard was born on May 20, 1929 in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of the late Bailey Ward Howard, Sr. and Flossie Maybelle Bone Howard Sports. She was retired from the Horry County School System. She was a homemaker and loved being with her family. Mrs. Ard was predeceased by: her husband, Albert John Ard, Sr.; a son Walter Leonard Ard; two brothers Bailey "BW" Howard, Jr. and Norwood "Naughty" Howard; two sisters, Maybelle "T-Tiny" Howard and Frances Anne Howard Moree; a granddaughter, Charlene Nicole Ard; a son-in-law, William Henry Bradey, Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Denise Ard. Mrs. Ard is survived by: her children, John B. Ard of Surfside, Betty Bradey-Coleman (Charles) of Travelers Rest; Virginia Anne Ard, Albert John Ard, Jr., and Charles F. Ard all of Murrells Inlet; a sister, Shirley Sylvester (Carl) of Hephzibah, GA; grandchildren, Susan Bradey and Dee Schwind (Tom) , both of Myrtle Beach, Jeff Ard (Cindy), Teresa Sayre, Chris Ard, and John Ard, Jr. (Jamie), all of Surfside Beach, Samatha Ard of Murrells Inlet; and Christy Ard of Conway; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for their assistance during this time.
