Obituary

Georgetown: Reba Woodbury Lofton, 93, died Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lofton was born in Socastee on September 30, 1911, daughter of the late Capt. George Ruben Woodbury and Bertha O'Neil Elks Woodbury. She was a nurse's aide and retired from Georgetown Memorial Hospital in 1976. Mrs. Lofton was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church and the Wesley Church School Class. She was also a member of Winyah Chapter #148, Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Lofton was predeceased by: her husband, William Eally Lofton; a son, Jack H. Lofton; and a daughter, Syble L. Harmeyer. Surviving are: four grandchildren, Chris Harmeyer, Victoria Stickell, Sonya Marsden, and Steve Lofton; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Harmeyer, Lofton Harmeyer, Danny Lofton, and Elizabeth Marsden; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be ten o'clock Saturday morning, July 23, 2005, at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery Annex. Officiating will be the Rev. Phillip C. Thailkill.
