Georgetown: Rebecca Poole Walker, 80, widow of James Allen Walker, Sr. died Monday, August 17, 2020, in the National Health Care, Garden City, SC. Mrs. Walker was born November 8, 1939, in Georgetown, a daughter of the late John Carey Poole and Fannie Elizabeth Mobley Poole. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mrs. Walker was a member of Graves Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time doing crafts, but most loved sewing. Mrs. Walker was a wonderful and loving grandmother and will surely be missed. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Walker was predeceased by, a daughter, Angela Rebecca Walker, and a son, Marvin Tracy Walker.. Surviving are: two sons, James "Allen" Walker (Gale) of Hemingway and Bruce Adrian Walker; a special niece, Melissa Miller; three grandchildren, Jaleah Wilhite (Wade Cooper) of Aynor and Jeremy Walker (Carter) of Hemingway and Sabrina High (James) of NC; and seven grandchildren. Graveside Services will be eleven o'clock Thursday, August 20, 2020, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Goude, Rev. Billy Anderson, and Rev. Brad Anderson.
