Murrells Inlet:
Rena Miller Anderson, 87, died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Anderson was born May 27, 1918, a daughter of the late Charlie Richard Miller and "Lizzie" Peppy Elizabeth Wall Miller. She grew up in Georgetown and was a graduate of Winyah High School. Mrs. Anderson attended cosmetology school in Jacksonville, Fla. and owned beauty shops in Mt. Pleasant and Murrells Inlet. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Murrells Inlet and served her church as a member of the choir and the Women's Missionary Union.
Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by: her husband, Charles William Anderson, a sister, Rosa Lee Miller Joyner; a brother, George James Miller; and a niece, Marye Joyner Kelley.
Surviving are: four nieces, Betty Joyner McManus and her husband Clyde of Garden City Beach, Jackie Joyner McConnell and Rena Patricia Joyner Klump, both of Georgetown, and Frances Joyner Teems and her husband Lamar of Conway; and a nephew, Ray Joyner, Jr. and his wife Debbie of James Island.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Monday morning, April 10, 2006, at Lakewood Baptist Church in Georgetown. Entombment will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown.
