Kingstree: Rhetta Lee Strong, 59, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Williamsburg Regional Hospital. Ms. Strong was born in Kingstree on June 7, 1948, a daughter of Hattie Lois Miles Strong and the late John Calvin "Bruce" Strong, Jr. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and worked in the trucking business until she became ill. Ms. Strong was a member of Cades Baptist Church. Ms. Strong was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Joan Strong. Surviving in addition to her mother of Kingstree are: a son, D. Walters of Andrews; a daughter, Donna Marie Walters of Scranton; her twin sister, Etta Marie Hammet of Kingstree; a brother, Bruce Wayne Strong of Kingstree; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Monday morning, May 12, 2008 at the graveside in McClary Cemetery near Kingstree. Officiating will be the Rev. Donnie Witherspoon and the Rev. Lee Walters.
