Pawleys Isand:
Richard Lofton Cox, Jr., 68, husband of Linda Servant Cox, died Monday, March 27, 2017, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Cox was born in Columbia on September 30, 1948, a son of the late Richard Lofton Cox and Louise Boyd Cox. He grew up in Hemingway and graduated from Hemingway High School.
Mr. Cox received a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina in 1970. Mr. Cox was an avid Gamecock Club Member. He was a member of the Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church. Mr. Cox was a forty year member of the SC Real Estate Community and worked a number of years with Surfside Realty and was currently with James W. Smith Reality.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Pawleys Island are; a son, Richard Lofton Cox, III (Lauren) of Greenville; two granddaughters, Caroline and Mary Margaret; and a brother-in-law, Mil Servant of Murrells Inlet.
Graveside Services will be at two o'clock Thursday afternoon, March 30, 2017, at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark Deihl and the Rev. Robert C. Wilkes.
The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in the Open Door Fellowship Center at the church.
