Richard Lee Roberts, 88, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at MUSC in Charleston. Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, he was the son of Novie Roberts.

Richard was a retiree of International Paper Company, where he spent his career in the Finishing and Shipping Department. He was very active in the shrimping community and enjoyed spending his free time fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Parker; three sons, Richard J. Roberts, Tony Ray Roberts, and John Keith Roberts; three daughters, Claudette Roberts, Darla Roberts, and Mitzi Roberts; three grandchildren, R.G. Roberts, Anna Gunnells, and Emmy Roberts; one great-grandchild Charlotte Martin; one sister, Anna Lee Coleman; and his caregiver, Bubba Cox.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Ethridge Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
