Georgetown:
Riva Lynn Jordan Waldron, 57, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the home of her mother.
Riva was born on August 20, 1951 in Morganfield, Ky., a daughter of Geneva McCracken Jordan Baumeister and the late William Hubbard Jordan. She was a graduate of Lower Richland High School in Hopkins and Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Riva was an employee of the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office and was a member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church. She loved her family, music, nature, and was an avid bird watcher.
Surviving are: her husband, Albert S. Waldron, Jr. of Georgetown; two sons, William Avery Horton of Florence and John Ingram Horton, III and his wife Lori of Pawleys Island; two daughters, Jennifer Kelly Mason of Charleston and Leila Catherine Horton Rabon and her husband Craig of Murrells Inlet; her mother of Georgetown; two sisters, Ella Kay Port of Georgetown and Jennifer Jordan Mills of Chattanooga, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be one o'clock Saturday afternoon, September 27, 2008, at Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen H. Wilkins and Dr. William H. Puckett, Jr. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
