Obituary

Georgetown: Robert Lloyd Altman, 70, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at the Patriots Harbor Community Living Center of the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston. Mr. Altman was born in Georgetown on October 15, 1944, a son of Olivia Jane "Jennie" Anderson Bullard and the late Spencer Bethel Altman. He grew up in the Rose Hill community of Georgetown Co. and was a retired crane operator in the construction business. Mr. Altman served two tours of duty in Vietnam in the U.S. Army and also received a Purple Heart and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed outings with his large circle of friends. In addition to his mother of Georgetown, surviving are: a daughter, Olivia Grossie (Eddie) of Ladson; a son, Duane Boynton (Tami) of Vancouver, WA; five grandchildren; four brothers, Bethel Altman (Nita) of Aynor, Gerald Altman of Myrtle Beach, James Altman (Brenda) of Connecticut, and Willie Bullard (Susie) of Conway; and two sisters, Fran McCoy (Terry) of Summerville and Sandy Wilkins of Moncks Corner. Memorial services will be held at two o'clock on Friday afternoon, November 21, 2014, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Keith Wall.
