Andrews:
Robert " Bob" Franklin Connelly, Sr., 70, died Friday, June 3, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Connelly was born in Georgetown County on July 30, 1934 to the late Julius James Connelly, Sr. and Sylvia Duncan Connelly of Andrews. He attended school in Andrews. Mr. Connell was served in the U. S. Army and S. C. Army National Guard unit in Georgetown. While residing in Pennsylvania, he was with the Fraternal Order of the Worthy Masters, Assistant District Commissioner in Scouting (also served in Georgetown County), staff member at Shift and at Treasure Island, Pa. Scout Reservations, and was employed by ITT Nesbitt Corp. He retired from International Paper Company, Container Division. Mr. Connelly was a member of the Winyah Lodge #40, Ancient Free Masons and Omar Shrine Temple (Pawley's Trucking Co., Hemingway Jail Birds, Hillbilly Clans 82 & 85 and Winyah Shrine Club). He was a board member on the Santee Electric Cooperative Round-up Committee. Mr. Connelly was a member and Deacon of Pine Crest Baptist Church and also attended Bethel Methodist Church.
Surviving are: two sons, Robert F. Connelly, Jr. and his wife Kim of Vermont and J. Benjamin Connelly and his wife Elizabeth of Andrews; a daughter, Audrey R. Miller of Georgetown; two sisters, Lena Connelly Nesbitt of Andrews and Virginia Alice Connelly Tanner, both of Andrews; a brother, William Connelly of West Columbia; four grandchildren, Christina D. Miller, Jonathan A. Miller and Robert E. Campbell, all of Georgetown and Adeline Mae-Jun Connelly of Vermont.
Mr. Connelly was predeceased by his wife, Hattie Mae Antwine Connelly and a brother, Julius James Connelly, Jr.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 6, 2005, at two o'clock at Pine Crest Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul W. Wall, the Rev. Thomas Moore, and the Rev. Bruce Adams. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Churchyard.
The family will receive friends at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Sunday evening, June 5, 2005, from six until eight o'clock.
