Andrews: Robert James Flowers, 59, died Thursday, June 11, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Flowers was born in Andrews on December 20, 1949, a son of the late Robert Manning Flowers and Leola Howard Flowers. He lived all his life in the Andrews area and was a former employee of Georgetown Textiles and Georgetown Steel. Mr. Flowers had been disabled since 1971. He was a member of Andrews Church of God and Woodman of the World Post #1157. Mr. Flowers was an avid University of South Carolina Gamecock fan. Surviving are: a brother, Bruce J. (Sandy) Flowers of Andrews; a sister, Kathy F. (Tim) Bodiford of Hartsville; three nephews, Brian R. Flowers and Jamie L. Flowers, both of Andrews, and T. Andrew Bodiford of Hartsville; and a niece, Kelli N. Bodiford of Hartsville. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Friday morning, June 19, 2009, at Andrews Church of God.
