Robert Lee Hurley III, 68, died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at N. E. and Ruby Green Hospice House in Georgetown, S. C.
Mr. Hurley was born in Swedesboro, N. J. on June 12, 1939, a son of the late Robert Lee Hurley, Jr. and Carrie Vincent Hurley. He grew up in Pennsville, N. J. and graduated from high school there. Mr. Hurley was a retired employee of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. He moved to Murrells Inlet from Pennsville 2 ½ years ago.
Mr. Hurley was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Pennsville. He was a Mason and a member of the Masonic lodge in Penns Grove, N. J. and of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Mr. Hurley was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are: his wife, Betty Ann Belitza Hurley of Murrells Inlet; three sons, Robert L. Hurley IV of Myrtle Beach, S. C. John A. Hurley of Oklahoma City, Ok., and Sean P. Hurley of South Ogden, Utah; two sisters, Carolyn Evans of Woodstown, N. J. and Kathryn Devonshire of Carneys Point, N. J.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
