Andrews:
Robert "Charlie" Winslow Lambert, 77, Master Sergeant, US Army, ret., and husband of Mary Allen Lambert, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017, in Charleston at the Medical University of S. C. Medical Center.
Mr. Lambert was born in Williamsburg County on December 19, 1939, a son of the late Jerry Washington Lambert and Miriam McCants Lambert. He attended Georgetown County schools and then joined the U. S. Army. Mr. Lambert served in Korea, Germany, and South East Asia and attained the rank of E8 Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Army, he was employed by Raytheom Service Company. Mr. Lambert loved fishing and was an avid golfer and member of the Tri County Golf Association. He loved his family and was a dear and kind hearted person.
Mr. Lambert was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Geraldine Lancaster.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of Andrews, are: three sons, Robert Curtis Lambert (Debbie), David A. Lambert, and Michael Lambert (Paige), all of Georgetown; a step-son, Kurt Schmidt (Rhonda) of Salem, Oregon; a brother, Jerry Oneal Lambert (Janice) of Eutawville; a sister, Sandra L. Harrelson (Tom) of Vero Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Sunday afternoon, January 8, 2017, at two o'clock in the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Harrelson and Curtis Lambert. Interment will be private.
