Andrews:

Robert "Neil" Thomas, 70, son of Mary Evelyn Neil Thomas and Robert Eugene Thomas, died Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Thomas was born in Orangeburg, SC on April 3, 1952. He graduated with a Masters of Divinity Degree from Wake Forest and a Bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University. Mr. Thomas worked for the state of South Carolina "Whitten Center" as a care giver and was employed as a social worker for the Department of Social Services in Clinton, SC. After working for the state, Neil became a salesman in the insurance business. Neil enjoyed helping others and was well liked. Neil was a member of Andrews First Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. Neil enjoyed the outdoors. He will be loved and missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are: a brother, Gene Thomas of Silverstreet, SC; a sister, Frances Leopard of Andrews, SC; three nieces, Michelle Butler, Suzanne Bailey, and Jessica Griffen; one nephew, Bryan Thomas; several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Thomas is predeceased by his parents and one nephew, Nick Zueger.

Services will be Saturday 2:00 pm April 1, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Andrews.  The Rev. Mark Stump will be officiating the service.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church of Andrews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
